Join me on my journey navigating as a caregiver to my Autistic daughter and my mom with mixed dementia – Vascular & Alzheimer’s Disease. I’ve spent time researching and learning about Autism, so that I can help my daughter navigate through life. Just when I thought “I can do this”, life decided to throw a curve ball with my mom’s diagnosis. I’ve always had a difficult relationship with my mom. I knew I would be my mom’s primary caregiver since I am an only child. However, this diagnosis was not one I ever expected since we don’t have a family history of it.
Being a part of the “sandwich generation” is more difficult than I ever imagined.
